Roddy Piper Biography & Filmography

Rowdy Roddy Piper was born Roderick George Toombs on April 17, 1954. He adopted his well known stage name after beginning his wrestling career. Although he played an uncredited role in the late 1970's his first credited role didn't appear until the mid 1980's. From there it wouldn't be long before he met John Carpenter during one of WWF's wrestling events. The two hit it off and soon after Piper signed on to play the lead role in the cult classic, They Live.
