Keith David was born on June 4, 1956 in the Harlem district of New York City. Keith Began his career as a stage actor starting in his grade school years where he realized his love for the art. Soon after studying at the Manhattan School of Performing Arts and stage acting professionally he caught his first big role on the silver screen as the character Childs in John Carpenter's classic film The Thing. From here it has been a long and varied career in many different genres of film. Keith would see himself in many other Sci-fi type roles throughout the decades but would reunite again with Carpenter to take on a leading role in his next classic film, They Live.
